In May 2025, BMK Manufacturing, a subsidiary of Biomarker, successfully held the “Spatial ATAC-Seq Technology Launch Event,” which drew many researchers to participate online. The event not only unveiled breakthrough progress in spatial ATAC-Seq technology, but also, through a debut of real data and multi-omics integration solutions, injected fresh momentum into the life sciences!

At the event, Liu Min, Vice President of BMK Manufacturing, gave a detailed introduction to the principles, product advantages, application scenarios and measured data of BMK spatial ATAC-Seq technology. Building on the company’s proprietary S-series spatial chips as an underlying extension, it achieves single-cell-level spatial ATAC-seq, and he noted that DEMO data are expected to be released within 1–2 weeks. Wang Yuqi, Senior Product Manager at Shanghai Dache Biotech, shared measured data obtained using BMK spatial ATAC-seq.

Principles of BMK spatial ATAC-seq technology

Advantages of the BMK spatial ATAC-seq product

01 Provides spatial location information for ATAC

Although conventional ATAC-Seq technology can reveal chromatin accessibility, it cannot provide information about the spatial location of cells within tissue.BMK spatial ATAC-Seq technology enables chromatin accessibility analysis directly on tissue sections, preserving the spatial information of cells.

02 Decoding the spatial regulatory network of gene expression

BMK spatial ATAC-Seq technology can simultaneously analyze gene expression and gene regulatory mechanisms, adding a new dimension to spatial biology research. It helps researchers map chromatin accessibility in the spatial dimension and reveal the regulatory mechanisms of gene expression.

03 Multi-omics integration: from fragments to a panorama

Spatial ATAC-Seq can be combined with spatial transcriptomics, spatial immune repertoire, in situ fluorescence and other technologies to achieve multi-dimensional data integration across “epigenetics–transcriptome–validation.”This integrated strategy helps scientists build more complete regulatory networks in developmental research and even discover previously unknown key pathways.

The “spatial ATAC-Seq end-to-end solution” independently developed by BMK Manufacturing integrates a multi-dimensional omics analysis framework and, as a breakthrough, achieves three-dimensional spatial resolution of chromatin open regions, providing researchers with a key tool for building a “spatiotemporal-resolution–gene-regulation” research system. Its innovative technical solution will deeply empower the analysis of developmental and differentiation mechanisms, the decoding of the tumor immune microenvironment, research on neurodegenerative diseases and other major scientific questions.

In the future, BMK Manufacturing will continue to drive industry development through technological innovation and, together with global research partners, unlock more unknown mysteries of the life sciences — moving spatial biology research from a “single perspective” into a new era of “panoramic analysis”!
